Online Copyright Registration;

We operate a file upload facility on our website that allows easy uploading of songs, music and lyrics for copyright registration purposes.

Each client registered with us has a unique login username and password. This will allow them to upload their files securely, confident. in the knowledge their work will be delivered speedily and direct to Songrite.

Email alerts are in operation to notify the client of successful upload and to warn of any files waiting or pending completion. This system allows for safe, secure transfer of files and dramatically reduces the time taken dealing with copyright registrations using regular mail.

It costs nothing to open and maintain an account with Songrite; you are only charged for the Copyright Registration.of your uploaded works.

When we successfully receive your uploaded work you will be contacted by email and then you simply make your payment by clicking the buy now button in your preferred currency on the Payment Page

How your Copyright application is processed

Songrite Copyright Office processes your application for registration of copyright upon receipt.

Copyright application files are recorded in an automated system and assigned a file number in the order that they are received.

Review of your application:

A reviewer checks each application to ensure that complete and clear information has been provided. If there are any questions or uncertainties, the reviewer may need to contact the applicant or their agent to request clarification of certain points or to provide additional information to process the application accurately.

Registration:

Songrite Copyright Office issues certificates of registration that provide a clear and legible record of registered works. You can help by making sure that the information in your application is complete, accurate, and legible, and that the work submitted is of an acceptable quality.

When an application is considered complete and the appropriate registration fee is received, a registration number is assigned to it. At this point a registration certificate is printed, a quality check performed, and it is mailed to the agent or applicant. Registration certificates are sent to the agent or applicant by Royal Mail.

Errors and Mistakes

At the client's request, a certificate of correction will be issued should a clerical error appear on an original registration certificate.
